Our customer was very unhappy with the cracking on his concrete pool deck. Not only was it unsightly, but the cracks would fill with dirt and debris, allowing for weeds to grow. The customer initially thought he would have to tear up the entire concrete surface and get it re-poured, costing him so much in demolition and time.

Our customer was unhappy with the appearance of her pool deck, but more importantly, she was concerned about her family’s safety. It’s common for children playing around the pool to get in and out of the water, leaving the deck surface wet and making them vulnerable to accidents like tripping or falling.
One of her main challenges was having a pool deck with cracked concrete and without slip-resistant coping for her kids to hold onto and walk on at the pool’s edge. Additionally, the surface was often hot, making it uncomfortable to walk around the pool or go in and out of the house.

Deckology helped her overcome these problems by installing AquaFlex on the pool deck. Our product is kid-friendly, providing a much safer play area for children since it is slip-resistant and resistant to impact from falls because it absorbs impact well. Furthermore, it is cooler underfoot, preventing burning, and smoother than concrete.
